Moses - The 30 Part series
Introducing Moses: A 30-Part Devotional & Deep Dive

We have just come through a beautiful journey into Pentecost — the waiting, the wind, the fire, and the birth of the Spirit-filled community.
But the more I sat with Pentecost, the more I realised something: we cannot fully understand the depth of Jesus’ crucifixion, resurrection, ascension, and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit without going back.
Back to Egypt.
Back to the blood on the doorposts.
Back to the wilderness.
Back to Sinai.
Back to the mountain covered in fire, smoke, thunder, and the voice of God.
Because long before the disciples gathered in an upper room, Israel gathered at Mount Sinai. Long before the Lamb of God was crucified at Passover, a lamb was slain in Egypt and its blood marked the doors of God’s people. Long before the Spirit wrote the law on human hearts, the law was given on tablets of stone. And long before Jesus led His people out of the bondage of sin and death, Moses was sent to lead Israel out of slavery.
This 30-part series is an invitation to slow down and walk the story of Moses from beginning to end.
We will begin in Egypt, in the world Moses was born into — a world of empire, slavery, fear, silence, and impossible promises. We will follow him from the basket in the Nile to the palace of Pharaoh, from failure and exile to the burning bush, from confrontation with Pharaoh to the night of Passover, from the crossing of the sea to the thunder of Sinai, from the golden calf to the glory in the cleft of the rock, and finally to Mount Nebo, where Moses sees the promise from a distance.
Along the way, we will explore history, archaeology, theology, cultural context, devotional reflection, and the deep threads that connect Moses to Jesus.
This will not just be a study of an ancient life. It will be a journey into the patterns of redemption.
Deliverance through blood.
Freedom through the wilderness.
Covenant after rescue.
Bread from heaven.
Water from the rock.
Intercession on the mountain.
The presence of God dwelling among His people.
And a promised land still ahead.
My hope is that this series will help us read Scripture more deeply and see Jesus more clearly. Not by rushing past the Old Testament, but by entering it — slowly, prayerfully, and with wonder.
I also want this to become more than just a written series. My hope is to make it immersive, with devotional readings, deep-dive studies, audio, music, images, reflection questions, and interactive elements that help us feel the weight, beauty, and wonder of the story.
Because Moses’ life is not just a story about one man.
It is a story about the God who hears the cry of His people.
The God who remembers His covenant.
The God who confronts empire.
The God who makes a way through the sea.
The God who feeds His people in the wilderness.
The God who comes down in fire.
The God who dwells among us.
And ultimately, it points us to Jesus — the greater Deliverer, the true Passover Lamb, the living Bread from heaven, the Rock struck for us, the Mediator of a better covenant, and the One who leads us not merely out of Egypt, but out of death and into life.
So welcome to the journey.
Thirty parts.
From Egypt to Mount Nebo.

Let’s begin.
