There’s something I’ve been quietly building behind the scenes… and I think it’s finally time to share it with you.
It’s called Dear Else.
And honestly? It’s been sitting on my heart for a while.

Why “Dear Else”?
Lately, I’ve found myself reading the Bible a little differently.
Not just as Scripture (which it absolutely is)…
But as real lives. Real people. Real moments.
David wasn’t just “David and Goliath.”
He was a young man standing in a valley, heart racing, probably wondering if he was completely out of his mind.
Mary wasn’t just “the mother of Jesus.”
She was a young woman carrying something the world didn’t understand… trying to hold onto faith when things didn’t make sense.
Peter? Oh, Peter…
He was bold, impulsive, passionate—and sometimes very, very human.
And I started thinking…
What if we could hear from them differently?
Not as distant figures… but as people writing to us?
So That’s What Dear Else Is
Dear Else is a collection of letters…
written as if these people from the Bible sat down and wrote to you.
Not in a preachy way.
Not in a complicated, theological way.
But in a human way.
Messy. Honest. Personal.
Full of questions, doubts, faith, courage… and those quiet moments in between.
Each letter is designed to feel like something you could hold in your hands—
like a piece of someone’s story finding its way into yours.
Why I Think This Matters
Sometimes, I think we’ve heard these stories so many times…
that we stop feeling them.
They become headlines instead of heartbeats.
But these weren’t characters in a story.
They were people who laughed, feared, wrestled, trusted, doubted—and kept going.
And if we can see them that way again…
maybe we’ll start to see our own lives differently too.
Maybe we’ll realise:
- Faith isn’t about having it all together
- Courage doesn’t always feel brave
- And God has always worked through ordinary, imperfect people
(Which is honestly very good news for the rest of us.)
Come Be Part of It
This is just the beginning.
There are letters, little extras, moments, and stories that I can’t wait to share with you.
If it sounds like something that might stir your heart,
or help you see Scripture in a fresh way…

And if you do read one…
I’d love to know:
Which letter felt like it was written just for you?
Thank you for being here—truly.
For reading, for exploring, for leaning in.
This space (Woven & Known) has always been about discovering who we are in God…
and I think Dear Else is just another way of walking that out—together.
With love,
Caroline V
