There is something incredibly sacred about writing a story that carries more than just adventure.
Over the past months, I’ve been pouring my heart into Chronicles of the Lightmane — a Christian fantasy story filled with deserts and blooming gardens, battles and questions, friendship and sacrifice. It’s been one of the most exciting creative journeys I’ve stepped into.
But what makes it even more special is this:
I’m not just writing a fantasy story.
I’m writing a story that quietly points to Jesus.
Why Christian Fantasy?
Fantasy has always had the power to bypass defenses. It invites us into another world — and in that world, our hearts often become more open.
Through characters like Elara, Thorne, and Orrin, I get to explore themes we all wrestle with:
-
Doubt and faith
-
Identity and calling
-
Fear and courage
-
Death and resurrection
-
Truth versus deception
And at the center of it all is Lumenor — a light-bringer whose story reflects the greater story of Christ: sacrifice, descent into darkness, victory over death, and resurrection into glory.
This isn’t about being preachy.
It’s about being faithful.
In today’s creative world, it can be tempting to water down spiritual themes so that everything feels “neutral” or broadly inspirational. But my heart has always been clear: I want this story to honor Jesus.
The story reflects biblical principles — light overcoming darkness, life rising from death, truth shattering deception — because those themes are not just poetic. They are eternal.
It matters to me that the spiritual framework of this book is grounded in Scripture, even if the world itself is fictional.
At the end of the day, I’m not writing to simply entertain. I’m writing to reflect truth through story.
If even one reader finishes this book and walks away thinking more deeply about light, sacrifice, resurrection, or the presence of God in the silence — then it will have been worth it.
I can’t wait to share more with you as this journey continues.
The desert is blooming.
And the story is still unfolding.
